Mir Alam Tank

HUDA / HMDA took up the construction of 10 MLD STP at the Mir Alam Tank lake along with other lakes restoration works, with an expenditure of Rs. 19.00 Crores. The construction was completed on April 2007.

Pedda Cheruvu

The construction of 10 MLD STP, along with other lake restoration works, was completed with an expenditure of Rs. 20 Crores, in March 2007.

Durgam Cheruvu

Durgam Cheruvu lake is located in Raidurg Village on the north-western basin of the Musi River. The water spread area of the lake FTL is 129 acres, with an STP of 5.0 MLD capacity. The work was completed in September 2007, with an expenditure of Rs. 6.80 Crores.

STP at Noor Mohammad Kunta

This lake is located on NH – 7 in the Shivrampally village, with a water spread of 27 acres. The lake - being surrounded by textile mills, edible oil mills and other chemical units (in Katedan Industrial Area) - is highly polluted, turning the water of lake into a red colour. HUDA took up the construction of a sewage treatment plant (STP) for treatment of domestic sewage generated in the catchment area. The work was completed in the month of January 2009 with an expenditure of Rs. 6.95 crores.
